Default Coolant reservoir leaking

Hi,

My car is 2000 S4. I just discovered that my coolant is dripping slowly to some hot surface and it's evaporating into smoke (vapor) and gives some funny smell. I also realized that I've topped up the coolant fluid with one of those green coolant additives and I recently read that only red should be added. Seems like mixing those 2 could be a disaster. How hard is it to replace coolant reservoir, incl. draining all of the coolant (from the radiator as well?).
I'd appreciate any help.

Default Can't tell you how easy or hard it is, but be warned:

This recently happened to me (search for my posts on this forum) and a lot of headaches ensued.

First of all, check to see if the coolant sensor is corroded. If it isn't then you are okay.

If it is, I hope you don't have my problems. The coolant leaked onto the sensor, which then fried the electrical line and the wiring harness and ultimately sizzled my ECU.

And replace your coolant with the appropriate stuff!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1578575.phtml">my first post on the problems.</a></li></ul>

Look up "hwj" in this forum. He's an Austinite, and probably knows where to find a VAG.

Default Possible turbo input line leaking?

SOmeone says that the leaking could be caused by "drivers side turbo input line was leaking at the crush seal." Could anyone enlighten me with turbo input line? Is it hard to check if this is indeed from the turbo input line? Is it hard to replace? Any instruction on how to replace it? THanks!
