Default Correct, detailed parts list for aluminum interior trim swap - updated prices

First off, many thanks to DeepBlueS4 for his extremely helpful thread from last year. I just got off the phone with Clair Parts and got a current price quote for the aluminum interior trim and black center console parts.

4 door alum trim pieces: $40.43 each
8D0-867-409-M-9PD
8D0-867-410-M-9PD
8D0-867-419-M-9PD
8D0-867-420-M-9PD

L dash alum mold
8D1-853-189-K-9PD $16.68

R dash alum mold
8D1-853-190-AK-9PD $44.14

Top of center console black trim
8D0-863-321-B98 $16.65

Entire ashtray assembly w/ black face
8D0-857-951-L-B98 $164.19

Black shifter surround for manual shift car w/NAV
8D0-864-261-AB-6DP $117.45

Clips for aluminum pieces
N-906-878-01 $0.43 each (You need at least 18. The clips for the dash pieces don't need to be replaced but if you want to you'll need 26 total.)

Looks like this mod got considerably more expensive in the past year. $532.01 now vs $366.04 in Dec 2003.

FYI, Impex comes in at $548.03 for everything but the clips. So, depending on where you live, their prices are pretty close. I live in Boston, MA so I have to pay 5% tax at Clair. That puts Impex's shipped price within $10 of Clair's after tax.

DeepBlueS4's old thread

Default I only paid $139 for the 6 Aluminum pieces from Clair...

but that was in the Summer of '00.

I had put these pieces in my A4 at the time:

http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/s4alumtrim/</a
