Was going to mount one on my car ....
I wanted it to be inconspicuous, with a genuine look -- i.e., it should resemble a real plate with correct city designation and not read BITEME or anything. : )
My suggestion would be something that starts with <b>IN</b> for Ingolstadt, the city of origin for our cars, followed by the seal and then some combination of alpha-numeric characters.
I was going to go with something like <b>[:IN°R01S4]</b> (in our '01 S4), perhaps using an umlaut in lieu of the zero for a more stylized, but still genuine, look.
