Default dealer oil change

Have any of you guys gone to the dealer for an oil change? I have been thinking of taking my b5 s4 for an oil change. Do you guys know hoe much they charge?

diy..take off the skid plate, the oil filter is in front and the drain plug is right behind it..remember these steps.. un skrew drain plug, take off oil filter, put on new oil filter, tighten up the drain plug..remember put 3/4 oil in the filter befor you put it back on, make sure the old oil filter gasket comes off with the oil filter, also lube the oil filter gasket so it isnt a pain the next time you change your oil..youll save money doing it yourself. gl

I personally never change my own oil, it's just not worth all the hassle. You really don't have to take it to the dealership though, Jiffy Lube or similar will give you the correct oil and change the oil filter for 60-80 bucks.

This is the easiest thing to do on this car, I run Total synthetic, which is expensive by itself. I'm not going to pay someone for something that takes 10minute to do in the driveway.

I used to do my own oil as a matter of pride but I got sick of the mess (the catch invariably leaked, then a little oil always drips out later and so on) plus I had to deal with the disposal of the old oil. Eh, whatever, I'll let some highschool drop-out get paid a decent wage to do it.

10 minutes? You should reinstall your skid plate.

I wouldn't trust a highschool dropout to look at my car. Let alone play with my oil. I never trust shops to install the right oil.
