was at the dealer today for an oil change. they dicovered that my rt CV BOOT was torn.$475to repair?

Default hmmm...order the CV boot repair kit from ECS tuning or PureMS...

then look for an independent shop to do the labor

I paid I believe 175$ to replace each of my outers, about 2 months apart.

doubtful. That job is dirty and it's not worth my time.

Then how about a complete axle? $125 for a new one and it's easier and cleaner than doing a boot.

damn.....i pay $100 (parts & labor), should be no more than $150 a side tops

That is what I did personally on my sled. The extra cost was worth the lack of grease.
