Hi,
currently the two contenders vying for a spot on my windshield are the Passport 8500 and the Valentine 1. Looking through many, many posts about these two detectors, a couple mentioned that maybe an update to the V1 is around the corner. Any substantiated claims out there? The 8500 seems great, but the arrows on the V1 seem like a great idea. A V2 would probably sway me.

His canned response was that they are always working on improvements to the V1, but he that he could not comment on what improvements or when they would find their way into the consumer product. As of a few months ago, he had also never heard of a V2.

So, I bought an 8500 and have been happy with it.
