Desperately Seeking Advice: Turbo Timer Electrical Gremlin
Soon after getting my car, I had a Greddy TT installed (in the cupholder)
All was fine, except that he dealer didn't know how to integrate it with the OEM alarm, so I had to use the key to lock the car if the engine was running.
Needless to say, this is a less than optimal solution, so after perusing AW, I tried the "<i>attach the #6 fusebox wire to the 75X post</i>" trick. This did <b>not</b> work...the alarm still couldn't be armed while the engine was running
Recently, I found <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec75.shtml">this article</a>, which seemed very easy.
I removed the knee bolster, looked up at the wiring harnesses, and sure enough, the one closer to me was sprouting wires that I presume led to the TT.
I located the 'Red w/Black' wire mentioned in the article (<b>one issue</b>: the article mentions a tiny wire...mine was approximately the same size as the other wires in that bundle), and connected it to the fusebox #6 wire...simple!
I started the car, engaged the TT, removed the key, closed the door, and hit the remote...Voila! the car beeped & the alarm was armed...<b>YEAH!</b>
Here's the problem tho'...after several minutes of driving, my power window & sunroof switches <b>no longer work!</b>
(If I stop & restart, they come back, and I can still roll up all the windows with the key/remote)
I checked the wiring inside the door (to make sure nothing was messed up), and double-checked the steering-column wiring...everything seems fine.
Any ideas on what might be wrong here?
TIA...

I use mine all the time.
Well, that's because it's a boost gauge too, I probably use the turbo timer once a month, if that. I do like how mine calculates how long to idle car by how much boost I've been using though. I can't say I'd put JUST a turbo timer in my car, but that cupholder is pretty freaking useless anyway.

sure sounded like you wanted one here, or maybe that was just a bandwagon thing...
