Did anyone see the Q/A in the current tech section of R&T regarding
break-in oil. The recommended interval was 5K miles but the reader asked if it was okay to change at 700 to 1000 miles and whether there was anything special about break-in oil. R&T claims that they found nothing special about the break-in oil and that they would actually recommend a first oil change at around 1000 miles for a new car and follow the regular schedule after that. What do you think?
