OEM companies normally don't test like that.
Their overload tests are maybe 110% of standard power.
This is the kind of stuff that is done by special development companies like Ricardo, AVL, FEV, Schrick, etc.

From the top of my head...
Heads, block casting method, cams, intake/manifold/throttle body, turbos, IC's, injectors, fuel pump, connecting rod bolts, pistons (PVD coated), piston rings (PVD coated, and probably more.

Audi doesn't care if their engine can take 500 hp or not. It's not worth their time, effort, or test capacity. It's so far off the durability requirement and emission scale that the data is near useless to them.
One of my customers today told me that he budgets about $100,000 to run a 1,000 hour engine validation test. That only includes dyno operating time and doesn't even include fuel. Once you consider engineering, metrology, and overhead costs...the costs are much more.
