the whole AW about problems they're having with the Forge's and why they specifically think that IT IS in fact the Forge's that failed?

...now reconsidering the Bailey's pending your input....

Default This post *may just be* the most viewed today but never replied on...some guys dont have the

nerve to comment or is it that maybe the fiasco is an isolated case and therefore is not a big deal????

Default just read the two main posts on the subject today; i think that should explain it...

...there have been intermittent posts for months of "increased lag after installing Forge valves?" The R knows his don't work. There's not that much that could be causing near complete lack of boost at low RPMs but fix itself by high RPMs except for a valve that's not functioning properly other than an electronics problem.

Default I have NO idea..I've been running the Forge's for 10K miles with no surging or boost lag

I pulled them out at 7K miles to inspect them

and they looked brand new, with no "sticking"

and there was the original amount of lube still present

I'm not planning on getting rid of mine any time soon

Default only thing that I can think of is that someone has a Faulty vac pump

that isn't really relaesing when they test it

or some Forge valves have too tight a fit between the piston and the O-rings

I've helped installed about a half-dozen pair for friends

and never experience the "stuck half-closed" problem

Mine stick just enough to let air escape. Like you said though...some work right, some don't.

Default seems possible

but whenevr I buy a hand assembled part I always check it before installing it

if I have a questionable one I'll send it back for a replacement

and ask that it's checked before it's sent to me

and I'll check that one too

but it doesn't spund liek everyone is having the issue

so it may be something simple

Default I Wonder if it is related to a tolerance issue with the plastic piston

I would expect the plastic piston expands due to the heat in the engine bay. If the fit is too tight then this could explain why they hang up. I've got quite a bit of machining (lathe) experience and I can tell you it only takes a few thousands of an inch to make the difference between a smooth slide and something jamming up. Alternatively, if the fit is too loose then the piston may jam because it does not run parallel in the bore. This is especially true when using O-rings to make the seal. Just a theory.
