I apologize if this has been covered before, but I did a search and I could not find out this info.

What are the differences between the 2000 and 2001 S4? I am in the process of buying or ordering an S4 and I am not sure if it is worth the wait to get a 2001 or if it matters at all. I know that the convenience package is now called the Premium package or the luxury package, but are there any substantive differences. Thanks a lot for the info and I look forward to getting my hands on the car!

For 2001 my understanding:

1. ESP is now standard.
2. Sport Interior includes aluminum mirrors and is extra cost. ($400 ??)
3. Lower final drive ratio for USA S4s.
4. Hibiscus has been dropped from Casablanca White

NO... NO... NO!!!! Do NOT tell me this. I would gladly pay the $400 for the mirrors but I know it will be so much more to buy them as a part! Well at least they are coming!

Thanks for the info. If those are the only differences, I'll go for the 2000 if I can find one. I'm not too interested in the ESP and I don't want the sport interior.
