Default Different tranny woes.

I am taking my car in on September 4th for transmission repairs under warranty. Yesterday, it became possible to engage second gear at high RPMs without grinding noises; however, it's now more difficult to engage second gear. In fact, it feels a little bit vague (in the past you could tell when second gear notched in, now I have to use a little more force to engage). Any opinions? Gearbox, synchros, or tranny? It'd be awesome if the problem was simply gearbox; however I did grind the gears a number of times before I started double clutching (no longer necessary). I just hope old betsy will run one more week before I go on vacation to Phoenix and return to take it in for repairs after Labor Day weekend.
