Difficult 2nd gear engage after UUC install
I read some of the old posts about installing the UUC and some of the complaints about 1st and 2nd shifts as well as reverse.
I just installed the UUC @ 30%. LOVING it. Cleans up the shifting quite well. I don't have any problems with reverse or first gear, but second gear requires considerable force and there is NO WAY I'll ever get a fast shift in. Takes about a full second to engage.
I realize the UUC increases effort, but none of the other gears have an effort increase like this. Is this an adjustment problem, or is 2nd gear just difficult to engage?
Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated?

Check that everything is centered. If it's not perfect, the gears
on that side will only engage (if you push all the way over) if you come back towards the center a tiny bit. In other words,if it's not perfectly centered there is a bit of travel beyond the gate on one end (5th/6th or 1st/2nd) that keeps it from sliding in w/o a bit of time/work.
If that's the case, fix it ASAP as it's probably pushing the tranny selector over a little bit when in gear (kinda like you resting your hand on it, pushing it a bit to the right). This could wear the syncros out prematurely.

it's an adjustment problem,
open it back up and play with the screws ever so slightly. loosen them and move it about 2mm and tighten it and try shifting. then when u are satisfied put the cover and such back on. i did this 2 weeks ago and that is how i go mine t shift cleanly.
