Friday:

NOTE: These directions are the quickest way to reach the hotel. You may choose to take a more scenic route, such as Hwy 1.

Also, check-in time at the hotel is 4:00. If you arrive prior to that, your room may or may not be ready.

From SoCal:

Take 101 North to San Luis Obispo.
Exit Hwy 1 North following signs (since the Hwy runs through the North end of town).
Continue 15 miles and exit Morro Bay Blvd.
Turn Left onto Main Street (4th stop sign).
Follow 1.5 miles to State Park grounds.
The Inn at Morro Bay is on the immediate Right.

From NoCal:

Take 101 South to Paso Robles and exit Hwy 46 West (turn Right).
Continue 25 miles to Hwy 1 South turning Left.
Continue 21 miles to Morro Bay and exit at Main Street.
Follow Main Street 3 miles to State Park grounds.
The Inn at Morro Bay is on the immediate Right.

Parking:

We will have reserved VIP parking in the front of the hotel. This parking was chosen not only for your convenience, but for security and most importantly, it is the area with the fewest trees (there are a lot of birds nearby).

This area will be setup at 1:00 pm and will be marked with cones so that you can easily find it.

Optional Elephant Seal Preserve/Sunset Visit:

Note: I'm not sure I'm going to do this. Depends on when I get in and my energy level. However, I'll give it a shot, as I hear it's worth seeing.

Left on State Park (Becomes Main).
Right on Morro Bay Blvd.
Take Hwy 1 North to San Simeon.
When you see the San Simeon hotels, set your odometer and drive 7.7 miles North.
You will see large sand dunes on the left side which obstruct your ocean view.
Immediately after this is a Vista Point with a very large parking lot. Park there to visit the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery.

Note: There are 2 other Vista Points with smaller lots in the area which are NOT the right place to be. Be sure to follow the directions precisely.

From the Elephant Seal Rookery to the hotel:

Hwy 1 South to Morro Bay and exit at Main Street.
Follow Main Street 3 miles to State Park grounds.
The Inn at Morro Bay is on the immediate Right.

Saturday:

From Hotel to Eberle Winery in Paso Robles.

Left on State Park (Becomes Main).
Right on Morro Bay Blvd.
Take Hwy 1 North 4-5 miles.
Right on Old Creek Road.
Take 46 Right toward Paso Robles.
Take 101 North for 6 miles.
Take 46 East.
Winery is 3.5 miles on the left side.

From Winery to Hearst Castle:

Take 46 West to North Hwy 1.
Right into Hearst Castle.

From Hearst Castle to the Inn at Morro Bay:

Hwy 1 South to Morro Bay and exit at Main Street.
Follow Main Street 3 miles to State Park grounds.
The Inn at Morro Bay is on the immediate Right.

Sunday:

NOTE: This is a Champagne brunch. However, most of us will be driving a substantial distance after the brunch. So please excercise extreme moderation with respect to consumption of alcoholic beverages if you are the driver, as we want this rally to be a safe one. Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the 9:00 am departure time.

From the hotel to the ship "Tiger's Folly".

Left on State Park (Becomes Main).
Left on Beach.
Right on Embarcadero.
Left into large parking lot.
The "Tiger's Folly" is docked alongside the Harbor Hut restaurant, which is located at 1205 Embarcadero.
