Dissection experts (like Jim D.) how is this panel removed?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/winterfront1.jpg"></center><p>I've pulled off the interior door panel and yielded no clues...
Anyone have experience with this black painted panel?
TIA!

You cant, its part of the trim, and the window is Cut, benith it.
If you cut it, it will leave a hole to the exterior.. the window, needs that space cut outso that the window can roll down, and still clear the wheel arch (in the door).

Ummmm....you don't understand at all...
How do I remove it to REPLACE the part, I'm not asking how to LEAVE it off. I was just simplifying the question and asking how to remove this piece. Kind of like "how do you remove the front bumper?" not that anyone would drive around without it.
What does that mean, "it's part of the trim." Every darn thing on a car comes down to parts attached together.
