Do any of you Stage 1/2 guys who live in the snowy areas swap in your stock ECU for winter?

Seriously, there are times when you want/need quite a bit of power, even in the snow...
What I'm more likely to do is short-shift the 1st/2nd shift and then run the revs up higher in the other gears with light throttle. That way I don't need to shift at points where I might be sliding the car.
The only reason I can see for turning the boost down or swapping ECU's is if the throttle isn't linear. Maybe this is a problem for the guys with very spiky boost. But for me, the throttle is very responsive and in fact, I think the non-stock ECU might be more responsive than the stock ECU.
The only other reason I can think of for doing it would be to use lower octane fuel.

Pretty much the only reason I was thinking about it. with 90 being the highest currently and the
winter blend, I felt it might be "safer" running the stock program. I have yet to change it however, and been easy in the throttle
