Default I'll tell you what, in a K03 or K04 car - it will effect your car very much so.

Your turbo's efficiency has gone down the tubes, and you're now compressing very thin air, creating a very high increase in IAT. If you recall, MTM Gen1 software, would try to compensate boost based on air density(absolute pressure) and would eventually overspin your turbos - their reason being for that, was to try to keep driveability the same - if your turbo has enough headroom, a turbo wont be effected BASED on the fact you can turn your boost up, to try to maintain the same power levels, running maybe 20% more boost. I would have to say, if you're running static boost, compared to down low, and higher up in alt - your loss is the same... if not more based on higher IAT.

Default Jay and I plan to visit camarillo this Saturday, you coming down?

We only had 1 money race last night, but Jay was unsure of his abilities... well Im sure he can explain better than I can.

Surely in Camarillo we can hit up some LS1's or GT mustangs.

That one night when you and I were at Slymar and we lit up those Camaros, civics and WRX's. Audi's are much feared down here now. Ask Jay

NOBODY would race him for money, not even the infamous durango, if you want to make 50 bucks Pat, come down here and race the green durango. He wants 3 cars, if your willing, then its easy 50 bucks. Hes on the Unit, I last heard it was a 150 shot. Ran a 13.9 @ Palmdale.

Default Grrr......WASTE OF MY NIGHT......"Oh it's german, it's gotta be fast"

If someone would step up....damnit. Yeah, I was unsure, never launched the car from high revs before. Now, it's a whole different story. I got my practice in. Shorten up my SS and I'm good to go.

That Durango won't race Pat...I'd give him 2 cars..Probably....

Default I have taken low 12 sec V8s up here by a good car length....

and these were GOOD drivers. Yes, altitude hurts turbos (especially smaller ones), but not nearly as much as NA cars.

Default That durango will race pat, as long as he gets his car lenghts.

However, after Pat gives him a spanking and takes his money, my street racing career in Slymar will be over. Its already bad enough with my Audi spanking the camaro crowd, now the wagon beats the rest of the vato crowd. Its usually cool as long as I dont hit people up to race, but when I do, they all chant "thats the guy with the audi that smoked hectors camaro aeeyyy.."

And dont let that Nova scare you, he cant drive for **** and squeezing off the line to impress a bunch of punk kids is kinda lame. But then again, what did you expect? its Slymar. Racing in the valley is becoming more lame and lame. But like my friends and myself, I love it so I show up regardless.

Default Look into the "Pikes Peak" race cars.......

the majority of them (if not ALL of them) are turbocharged to BETTER deal with power loss due to altitude!
