Does bad front wheel bearing noise behave differently from rear wheel bearing?
I've had both my rear wheel bearings replaced already. I get this noise coming from the front, it's speed related, loudest when I'm braking and coming to a stop. Tends to disappear at highway speeds (which is not the way the rear ones behaved). It appears to be coming from the right side as turning left makes the noise the loudest.
I'm just trying to figure out if it's the bearing or suspension noise or tire noise.
Thanks.

I have this same issue and it is driving me crazy...
I replaced the front right wheel bearing, and it didn't make a difference. The mechanic who pressed in the new bearing for me said that the old one was fine.
I can only assume it is the left bearing, but haven't had the time to check it out.
If you found the answer to your problem, let me know.
TIA

Re: Does bad front wheel bearing noise behave differently from rear wheel bearing?
This seems to be a common problem but no definitive solution has been posted. I have exactly the problem described by Distinct, noise exaggerated when braking to a stop, not pads or disks, any suggestions?
