Does a compact spare save weight over the stock Avus full-size spare? I'd like to save some weight

Yup, I'm glad I had a spare 19" wheel when i had a blow out last month.
I couldn't imagine if I would have been out of town somewhere and had to wait for roadside. No telling where I'd end up or who would have a 19" tire in stock to fit. I'd have to wait around for a tire to come in. :-/
