mine does, in particular on the rear passenger side. Stock suspension.. you think some grease will help?

humm...???
I had a friend who had this problem with a BMW 320. we put it on a lift and found a SEAM WELD across the bottom of his car. someone had built it from 2 wrecked cars and grafted the front from one on to the rear of the other. It was very scarry and I would not ride in it after that discovery as the weld was squeeking cause it was BREAKING LOOSE! He was in a crash later and the car was totalled (well at least by the ins company) it was hit from the side and broke open quite nicely! hope this is not the case with yours....

you're scaring me....
if i push up and down on the trunk, I hear the creaking as well.. seems to be coming from the wheel-well area. Well, I'm going to dealer next week anyways, have them look at it then.. hopefully no seam welds, yikes.

It's the E-brake cable rubbing on the bracket it runs through underneath the car
The E-brake cable runs through 2 holes in a bracket right near the rear jack point underneath the car. When it's dry the cable squeaks as it rubs against the inside of the holes of the bracket. I have yet to find a permanent fix for this. You can spray some lubricant (silicon, etc.) on the cable and the noise will go away temporarily but it will come back.
You can verify this by taking the wheel off and grabbing hold of the cable while moving it back and forth. It's the same sound you get when pushing down on the trunk of the car.
