Door opening by itself... why??

Door opening by itself... why??
I thought it was just the door ajar sensor at first, as it's only happened a few times, where the display on the dash shows that the drivers side back door is open, but today I was making a turn into my parking space at work, and the door actually flung open while I was turning, my buddy had to grab the door and hold it closed to avoid me hitting the car next to me.
Why would this be, just a bad latch? I searched with the new and improved search, but all I found was people having problems with the door closed sensor, not actually the door not closing.
Has anyone else had this problem?
