Drag strip update! (sorry BenM just ignore this ;))
Me and Loanshark just came from Houston Raceway Park after testing the GIAC "race" chip, and im here to say I was very impressed! I made 4 passes down the strip on pump gas (NOT reccommended) due to arriving there with over a half tank of gas, I did put 3 gallons of 104 race fuel in, but im sure that had little or no effect. Anyways my best run of the night was a 13.2 at 105.05mph. This was with the same 18" rims that caused me to run a 13.8 last weekend on the normal GIAC chip. My runs were made with a 4000rpm very slight slip take off that netted me a 1.8 almost 1.7 60ft time. I was running against a 13.00 Camaro who I believe had N20 and I actually beat him because of my reaction time and launch He left after that but he was cool about losing, though he was sure I had N20. I must also say my car feels strong enough to lay down an even faster time with the stock rims on there. This chip has so much more power then I expected (even on pump gas! - again, NOT reccommended) im literally in shock as was Loanshark. The 12 second barrier will be broken next weekend, and then I will be done. Oh and the car held up at the strip with no complaint, the clutch held fine, traction was great, the engine was singing, and people were coming up to me the whole night freaking out on my car! Ok enough rambling for now but I had alot of fun this evening and wanted to share it.

I think you took my post the wrong way dude...
I think it's cool you ran a 13.2 in your car, that's a pretty nice time. I guess I was just getting mainly sick of the fast and the furious posts...cause well, that movie was stupid. That's a pretty sweet 1/4 time though, congrats. Have you been to TMS with loanshark? I bet you'd have even more fun there

I thought this might get your attention, I didnt take it the wrong way, notice the smiley face?
I just like to drag race alot, and im pretty good at it, I feel confident that with pure race fuel and the stock rims back in place I will nearly crack the 12 sec barrier, and if those changes dont do it.... I have something up my sleeve yet My intention is to show that a 12 sec QM time can be achieved without major mods or thrashing the car, and I will do it. Stay tuned, and Ben dont get excited, I understood your post, I was just poking fun at you for the heck of it, dont take it so hard.

What are your mods?
I know the 12 sec barrier can be achieved without downpipes, I'm just not willing to try. I have a few people here that want me to make that trip down to HRP, but I probably won't go back to the strip til I do another mod to the car. Yes, the stock wheels should help your 60ft times. I know with stock wheels I could run 1.7s......I'm just a little nervous about breaking something to get that 12.99999999999999998 slip. Good luck and I hope you guys get it.
Oh yeah, show Zerin your skillz please.
