Drove B7 S4 yesterday, unwhelmed, still looking for modified S4 avant
The interior is great, the seats are great, carbon is only a $300 upgrade, but at 6000 feet where I live, it was not faster than my stock S4 Avant that got T-boned last week. I want to stick with the B5 platform and I am still looking for a good, low miles S4 Avant, preferably Stage II or III. Let me know!

The new cars simply aren't the same.....
They are now luxury cars, there is very little performance in them. Plus, they are to damn expensive to own; buy, insure, and maintain, plus the depreciation absolutely kills anyone with less than a $1million income. Just not worth it.
That's to bad but whatever.
Maybe it's time to check out the Dodge Magnum SRT8, if you want a real performance 'avant'...........

Magnum SRT8? Not if you value handling... they're heavier than hell, drive like tanks.
Legacy GT Wagon, especially with a few simple mods, seems like the closest thing to a B5 S4 Avant these days.
There's also Volvo's V70R.
