A drunk driver crashed in the S last, nearly a PIT manuever by the drunk guy
We, my wife and I, exited the freeway and got in the right most turn lane, a car pulled up in the left most turn lane. As the light turned green I pulled out faster than him, shortly after that I heard a loud thunk from my left rear quarter panel and the next thing I knew I was pointed to about 10 o'clock and countersteering to keep the car from going over the center median.
He must have steered away from us because we then saw him drive over the center median into the oncoming lane some how missing multiple street signs, luckily there was no other traffic. He then drove back over the median to the correct side.
It didn't look like he was going to stop as he gunned it down the road turning right into a bank/Target parking lot. He finally stopped in the bank parking lot, ironically where we were going to the ATM.
We called 911 and stalled the guy until the cops showed up. Four squad cars showed up. He miserably failed the field sobriety and blew over a .20 on the field breathalyzer.
He left in hand cuffs, we left with a hole in my new Euro bumper, a damaged tail light, and probably a bent frame. We are lucky to be ok, thankfully it wasn't any worse.

From above I can see in my trunk, notice the smaller gap at the lower left corner.

This is where the drunk idiot touched my car when talking about a previous accident.

Yep, he was drinking.. 9 beers/hour
A quick google:
"It takes a lot of alcohol to get to a 0.20 level. A man weighing 180 pounds would have to drink nine beers, shots or glasses of wine in an hour. A 140-pound woman would have to down six drinks."
Glad you guys weren't hurt! I wonder if his insurance will buy another euro bumper, or stock? What time of night was it?
