Default DTC 17579 Throttle Actuator HELP!!!

Ok, I've seen a lot written about this. I have a stock (as far as I know, I bought it used) '00 6-spd with 48k miles where the EPC light goes on intermittently and the engine goes to limp mode. It is soooo anoying. It seems to do it more when the weather is warm/hot. What exactly needs to be replaced (just a sensor, the whole throttle body and do they do it under warrenty?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default throttle body needs to be replaced. and I'm 100% sure about it. :-)

if you're still under warranty, then yes it should be covered, the whole throttle body unit.

Default not a big deal....

take it to a dealer and tell them the symptoms. this same thing happened to me last month. i would be on the highway and i would suddenly get put into limp mode. i'd get the EPC, ABS, and ESP light at once and zero power. brought it in after the second time it happened and a scan of the car showed a fault in the throttle body angle. they replaced the part under warranty and it's all good. i'm even chipped.
