I'm not sure whether it's the APR ECU I'm demoing (though I've been in stock prog. all but two times in the last few days) that's making the siren noise more pronounced or if it's the weather.

I guess I'll know for sure when I put my stock ECU back in, but since I don't feel like doing that yet I thought I'd quickly ask here. TIA

Yes. Mine was louder when cold until the engine warmed up.

when not fully warmed up? I would expect that this noise would be louder/last longer when cold outside.

When my B5 S4 is cold the turbos spooling up does sound a lot louder. I actually kinda like it

With my K-04s usually the first accel has the most audible spool up. After that it is barely audible again and once warm no sound at all.
