I notice regular dirt, before visible brake dust on the wheels. One drawback to the Rofrens, is that you have to apply more pedal pressure to get the same bite as the stock pads. Actually, if you warm them up a bit they seem to work better.

could be... although I do use them pretty hard.

Mine barely got any dust from AutoX (granted that's not a long ways, but a lot of maximum braking)

and still get plenty of the dust. But the car stops fast, and I'm willing to clean.
