I got charged for Sportec intake AND exhaust cams. I got them down on price when I picked up the car as I asked for RS4 intake cams only. I have a hard time believing they aren't just RS4 cams. They have a RS4 part number stamped on them But I was told they are re-ground RS4 cams. Without really having them profiled you don;t know for sure. I know that two almost identical cars running the same code ( custom ) ran identically but one ran rs4 cams and the other one ran Sportec intake and exhaust cams. Hmmmm, additionally, you won;t find these cams mentioned on the Sportec.ch web site nor will you ever..... Are you from Boston ?? I thought some guy in Boston bought a set, had them profiled and found out they were just RS4 cams.....

Thats +10Deg over ambient, not too shabby even for RS4 IC's.
Bottom line +80 Torque and you lost power? Hmmm time to get some better fans on there. Even at 60Deg Ambient, I would not expect much more than 140DegF loaded on the rollers.
Curious to hear about the next pulls, make sure there are some fans blowing on the IC's as well as the rad.

mods you have, you gain it back plus some in the upper rpm range so if you are mainly interested in low end torque and don;t care about top end improvement then you should take them out. It doesn;t matter if they are Sportec cams or RS4 cams!!
If someone ever profiles a set of Sportec Cams please let me know.

(Autosport Werks) the sportec dealer out in CO, they were then installed by Mark@Autospeed, and before they went in he looked at them but I'm not sure if they were profiled or not.

with how it literally rips on the street could prove that it may really be making much more power than the dyno said. KTR told me to come back and run it again, even they felt that the car should have made much more WHP because the torque number was so much higher. One good 1/4 mile run will answer everything

Just kidding, yeah I'm just glad that Franz was scratching his head about it, why was it so consistent...and why would he say that he thought the cams were shutting down at 5K RPM.? maybe it was what you said about too much load. I think it will do better next time, with cooler temps, I'm going to pull a plug out and I'll let you know what it looks like
