damn, nice...
so... with
15% loss = 289HP / 374lbft
20% loss = 307HP / 397lbft
25% loss = 328HP / 424lbft
30% loss = 351HP / 454lbft
35% loss = 378HP / 489lbft
hrm, where'd you get the 35% loss number.. that seems a little high...
but NICE NUMBERS anyway
WHy does it drop off so sharply around 5000?

Your math is wrong...
If you say there is 35% drivetrain loss, this means you lose 35% of the crank value.
hence
Crankpower * 0.65 = wheelpower
or
Crankpower = wheelpower / 0.65
So
246 / 0.65 = 378
:-)
Or did you not mean 35% loss :-P

MATH DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY :-)
If 35% is lost, that means 35% of the CRANK POWER.
again:
CRANKPOWER * 0.65 = WHEELPOWER
Since you know WHEELPOWER, to get CRANKPOWER you ahve to do:
CRANKPOWER = WHEELPOWER / 0.65
dividing by 0.65 is NOT THE SAME as multiplying by 1.35 ;-)
so go do the math again :-) Or rather, just look at my post
