EDL defeat wiring: update on doing the wiring at the ABS connector
The small red/black wire shown in the pic is 0.35mm^2, or 22 AWG, on pin 14 of the ABS connector.
If you would like to tap into a positive switched wire near the ABS unit connector, tap into one of the two large red/black wires on pins 17 or 18 of the ABS connector. The two larger wires are 4.0mm^2 or 12AWG and come from the ABS hydraulic pump fuse.
I plan to use a 22 AWG wire and one of the small switches I have in a junk bin in the garage. 22AWG wire is rated for 0.92 amps, so using a 1 amp diode makes sense. I plan on doing this mod after work tomorrow.

That's a great mod...
I've run it that way for years. I wired it up as specified, placing the switch in my center console and running it off ignition power.
Though now I have the Stasis 4:1, I find myself hardly ever using it.

yup you can try it out for yourself by unplugging the ABS computer :)
wouldn't recommend it for a long time, I have no idea what the effects are.
Local S4 owner had an ABS sensor die and this does the same thing, no ABS or EDL. His car was chipped and he said he could drift it like crazy. I told him I was jealous.

Keep thinking about doing this. let us know how you find it -..ALSO......
Am I right, it doesn't stop the left-foot braking throttle-cut situation?? This is controlled by the ECU? I know you can overcome it by taking foot off throttle, then left-foot braking and reapplying throttle with foot still on brake.
