EGT PSA: On my 6MT '01 S4, the pass side part number is 078919529D. This is different than all the
other posts I've seen on the archives, which specify "E" as the pass. side.
The replacement part I was sent was labeled "G" which has a much shorter wire (~5") and is "keyed". So it wont allow the connector to slide on without some modification.
I recommend that you check the part number on your car before ordering. I'm going to see if I can make the shorter wire fit without having to swap out the part for another one.

just had mine replaced. they are the same exact part except for the connectors at the top
one side is black, one is red. i don't know which is which but it's just to make more money i guess.

078 919 529 D - thats my DRIVERS side part number. Passenger is E
Where did you order from? My passenger side is brown and ends in "E", drivers is black and ends in "D". both are stock. my drivers side is bad though so I'll be ordering a new one.

Pass. side is 078 919 529 G, Driver side is F. The old letters were E and D respectively. Pass side
is orange, and driver side is black.
My pass. side fit fine when I did it three weeks ago.
