Electric boost gauge install question.
Stupid question but does an electric boost gauge have to run anything through the firewall.
I am looking for a boost gauge that is easy to put in and take out - is there anything out there that plugs into the diagnostic port on a temp basis (short of my laptop).

An electric gauge still has to have contact with the engine:
Either the boost hose from the engine to the gauge sender or the wiring from the sender to the gauge needs to go through the firewall.
Most people keep the sender in the engine compartment and run the wiring to the gauge.
It's easy to run either on the S4, as you just go through the ECU compartment and directly into the area beneath the driver side of the dash.
You can contact us for Omori products.
