Engine light question....fault memory
My engine light comes on occasionally. And, I have a abt chip. The dealer says that there is a memory for the faults. Where is that memory? When I change back to my stock ECU, will I be taking the memory with me as well? Should I swap the ECUs a few days early so some of the faults get save to the stock ECU? Or are they saved somewhere else?

do you have a spare stock ecu?
If you do, remove your Abt ecu and put in the stock one and use a VAG to clear the codes. If you don't have a spare ECU, then there's nothing you can do - they'll notice you have an Abt chip just by butt dyno.
Of course, if your warranty is expired then it doesn't matter.
