Default EuroLight Drama : Update

Ok,

Now the service mgr is saying that the motor for the auto adjusting headlights comes with the OEM Housings and aren't installed because of request that they use Euro's. Of course I had to dig to find out that the motors weren't there.

Is this true? Why are dealers so unpleasant. Sadly enough, I recommend to all to stay clear of Zumbach, the NYC Dealership.

Any help is appreciated.

Default yes, and no.

if you only buy the euro housings, then you
have to pull the leveling motor out of your
old housing and transfer it to your new housing.

If they ordered a brand new euro setup... I'm
pretty sure it comes with the leveling motor.

If you have your old housings with the leveling
motor, and need help to transfer it over, lemme
know. I can do it on sat at the meet.

Default well, if you had the US S4 oem housings the motors could be transferred to the Euro's

If you just bought Euro housings, they would not have motors or ballasts or bulbs for that matter...

Default when you buy the Euro's from AWE or Zev (for example), are you getting the entire everything?

You just get the housing and you have to transfer all that from the OEM one.

Default I agree. I brought my 1999 A4 to Zumbach for a routine service and they.....

gave me a faulty ignition wire which caused my car to misfire all over the place, couldn't replace the engine cover correctly at all, and got some type of a metal stuck in one of my cylinders. All of which they sent me home with 3 times telling me they fixed the problem.

The only good thing they did was giving me an A6 as a loaner.
