Default expected hp gains?

i have a 2000 s4 6 spd A box with apr 93 program. i will be installing a VM2 uuc exhaust. according to apr my car is 318hp and 382 torque. uuc claims 15-20 hp gains. so should i expect 330 hp or so? anyone else have this set up?

Default Dont trust what they claim for hp with a exhaust.

I might give you 5-10 hp gain but they higher flow exhaust will move the hp peak higher in the rpms.

Default Here's the truth about power gains, etc.....

Firstly, I have NEVER seen a commercially available product actually produce the numbers on a dyno that ANY manufacturer claims. Some are close, others are complete bull****, depending on the product. Also, power gains from various mods are not just additive. Yes, an aftermarket exhaust will give about 10-12hp worth of hp gains, but those gains aren't necessarily at the peak horsepower point. Chips are generally good for around 290-300 peak hp at the crank, and a chip and exhaust will give you about 10 more horsepower out of your engine at the higher rpms, usually beyond the point of the peak horsepower. The peak hp will be up only by 5hp or so. Downpipes will give an additional 20hp and maybe 10-12 peak hp. Again, my analysis is not based on rumors, claims, etc, but rather what I have seen actually tested on dyno runs on real cars that people own.
