Default I'd rather see more

real life road course tracks. For those of you who have actually driven at Laguna Seca, how close is the GT3 rendition?

Default It is all relative of course. The Gran Turismo version is close, but nothing can compare with

actually being on the road. To me the point of the game is learning braking points, feel, if you were on any track not just Laguna, the Nuburgring, etc... For example, in the game you have a reasonably realistic sense of when you would have to break for turn one at Laguna. However, in real life, your reference point and feel could be completely different. GT3's greatest strong point to me is learning and adapting to different situations and tracks. Not necessarily as a direct "here is where you brake exactly" simulation. Now all that being said, I know that the design team at GT3 went through some pretty pain staking work making sure that everything was as close to real on the tracks as possible. The Japanese tracks for example are very close to the real thing. They actually did a side by side comparison of lap times in real life and GT3 with identical cars in a couple of Japanese magazines, and with slight discrepancies came pretty close - or at least close enough to be damn impressive...

Default So how the hell would I get my S4 to all those places? heh heh, I wish I had...

playstation 2. I'd probably waste too much time on GT3. I still play GT2, it's really good...never played GT3 yet, please don't tell me what I'm missing...there aren't any S4's on there, right?

Default the concept cars are one of my sore points regarding GT3

the RX-8 especially but the Z Concept as well to some degree perform nothing like their numbers indicate they should.

i mean the RX-8 for instance is low on power/torque and high on weight *AND* it's geared tall.. yet it still hangs with other 'Class A' cars.. it's retarded!

the TT is also screwed up in that game, it drives like a FWD car until you buy a new VCD (variable center diff), i'm sorry but it doesn't drive like that IRL. in the game if you launch it hard the front wheels spin and spin.. and it breaks them loose at the top of 2nd. that does NOT happen IRL.

oi vey :P little things like that really hurt my enjoyment of GT3.

The TT totally kicks a$$ in GT2...especially around tight tracks.
