Fast K03 swap?
I remember reading somewhere that it is possible to just drop the subframe for a turbo swap if replacing with the same size turbos. I searched but can't find it again.
Thinking of doing some K03 Hybrids. Since all I would have to replace is the turbo itself it would be nice if it can be done from under the car just by dropping the sub frame (on a lift obviously)

Does that mean that you have tried it...
and it did not work? or that you are defaulting to all the other turbo swap information that people write..or...that you simply don't have any information on it.
I have found with several cars in the past that what is published is not always the only or best way to do something.
An MR2 Turbo transmission swap can actually be done in about 4 hours. But if you do it the "factory way" it will take you 15 hours.

Thanks. Already read it....
My understanding is that the biggest problem with a K04 swap is that you have to change all the other pipes. With Just a Ko3 to Ko3 Hybrid you don't have to swap those so the motor may not have to come all the way out.
