Audi Newbie

I recently bought a new Grand Cherokee for my wife. Unfortunately, I had to trade in my Blazer. For the last Six months i've been driving my wifes '86 Ford Probe....sigh. Anyway, the next new car is gonna be mine!! I have been doing a ton of new car research. Until last week, my top choices were the new BMW 330 sedan, the Lexus IS 300 (nice little car btw), and the Audi A4 2.8 . But.....that all changed last week while I was on a business trip. I stopped by the local Audi Dealer, and noticed they had at least 5 or 6 2001 S4s on the lot. So, I politely ask the saleswoman for a test drive. I remember thinking to myself "are 250 ponies really gonna make that big of a difference?" YeeeHawww! After my test drive I realized that the goofy grin plastered on my face might take a few hours to subside. The S4 was ohhhh sooo sweet. I'm sold. I will be placing my order in the next few months!

Question: Has anyone heard what changes Audi is planning for the next "Redo" of the S4? I am assuming that Audi will rev up the performance a notch or two to keep up with the lattest M3 release. Thanks in advance for your replies.
