Follow up to my service advisor rant the other day
So, if you recall I took the car in to have the bypass valves replaced. The condecending service advisor who challenged/argued with me about it being the valves found that the bypass valves were indeed defective.
Wha?
So you mean to tell me the complaint I brought the car in for was actually the problem, just as I suggested? Hmm, imagine that.
Car is running much better! Turbo lag begone!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1335699.phtml">Original post</a></li></ul>

don, when and why did you switch away from the forge stealth valves?
the ones that you mentioned in your tech article....I was thinking of buying them based on that, but now you're not running them? What's up?

Re: don, when and why did you switch away from the forge stealth valves?
I got a 2002 (returned my 2000) car so my car basically went back to stock at that point and I have not put BPVs back on. From what I've experienced, piston-type valves require regular service to keep them working properly (cleaning and re-greasing the o-rings) and I don't want to mess with it.
