Follow up to timing belt service done yesterday. Shop told me that belt was close to breaking.
I was never a believer in the old 60k miles change even though the book says 105k but now I'm rethinking that. Maybe I'll be doing it again before 150k miles.
I imagine the rubbing caused by slack in the belt and shock loading when the belt tightens up could cause it to break.
The timing belt kit is a *few* dollars cheaper than a new engine or heads
