Friday Poll: Who purchased their car before ever driving an S4...
I bought mine with 40K miles without ever driving an Audi or even a manual for that matter. Just research on the web and seeing them on the road.

Ordered without ever sitting inside one.
I had actually never seen what an S4 avant looked like... only the A4 avant.
I was pleasantly surprised by EVERYTHING about the car! Except the clutch... and the stereo

The day I first saw the car was the day I took it home:)
Sales guy actually gave me my first test drive it, I had no mad rowing skills then. It seems like a century ago, well it was in Nov. of 1999

test drove the 1.8T & 2.8, ordered the S4 based on reading
this forum back then (jan-march 2000, i ordered march 2000) when the car was still relatively new & everyone kept raving about it (stock no less).
