The pump's autoshutoff didn't work and all this gas overflowed.
It's all evaporated by now but is there something I should do to prevent further damage to the paint?
The damn gas station didn't even have any water to wash off the gas. They offered to sell me bottled water, though, the A-holes!

Relax...
Gasoline isnt exactly what is considered a harsh abrasive compound. You will be fine. Just remember to wash the area thouroughly. Use a Claybar to remove any left over traces of gasoline that didnt come off from the washing process. Adding wax to that one area wont help much. It will only protect the area applied. If you didnt wax your car prior to the accident, then it wont do you any good now
Im sure auto manufactures have taken into consideration that once in the vehicles lifetime, it WILL get gasoline on the body of the vehicle.
