George, you aren't crazy. AWE, I think your supplier may have sent a few out of spec trans mounts.

After reading Georges <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/784611.phtml">post</a>, I decided to see what he was talking about.
I have the same problem. Looking at the mount, it appears that the machine
that drills and taps the mount was off center a bit.

I knew I wasn't nuts! Thats the exact problem...
Anyone who has gotten once recently -- I'd finger fit those parts before you take everything apart -- its a real pain to maneuver under the car, and its best to discover it before its on the car.
I'm going to torque down one of the bolts tomorrow so I can drive it and call AWE on Monday.

OOfda... So AWE is going to be throwing in some installs it looks like.
Things happen I know
But I would be more then pissed if I spent that much time in my garage and found out things were out of whack..
Although knowing of AWE's reputation, I'm sure Todd will take care of everyone

Interesting suggestion - I did actually finger fit the parts beforehand and checked the wrench sizes
as well. The actual install later on took roughly 20 minutes from lifting the car to setting it back down.
I always like to know what the task I am about to undertake involves so there is less guesswork and oddball trips to the local hardware/auto store while the job is in progress.
You have no idea how many home improvement projects I have undertaken have ended up with multiple store trips in the process. The school of hard knocks imparts lasting lessons :}

By the way, Nick, thanks for looking out. This information is very much appreciated
Although I did not participate in this group buy, it's very apparent that one of our members was having issues. You cam to the rescue with documented proof that he was not out of his mind and that his car was not totalled and put back together before he picked her up.. Good stuff and I bet George is feeling so much better now that you posted this information.
Way to look out!
