I just installed my chipped ECU that arrived in the mail today... First of all.... Damn!! :-) Should not have waited so long.

But there are some glitches (i think).
When I first reconnected the battery after installing the ECU and then started the car my power window auto down or up feature was not working at first but now it does. The other thing is I am locked out of my radio. But I will go into the manual and look for the unlock code.....

I thought 2001 were H boxes, (general ques.) where is the build date on the car?

In my impusive haste to get it installed the minute it left the UPS drivers hands...... I did not throughly read the install instructions. I thought I read in the past somewhere that it was a good idea to disconnect the negative terminal before swapping ECU's. But I am not certain. Ignorance can be bliss. Whoops.

Do you think I may have caused any ill affects by doing this????

It was on the inside door jam of the drivers door. I think you call that the B pillar! My factory ECU that I swapped out had the exact same code ending with the letter "M"

"power window auto down or up feature was not working at first but now it does" That is normal, happened to me when I disconnected the battery on my car. I guess it has to adjust itself for the finger pinch protection...
