Default Good News -- AOA Confirmed 2002 S4 (kinda long)

Okay, now don't everyone bite my head off. I am only relaying the facts, as I personally heard them.

Given that I have been planning on ordering a 2001 S4 in November for March delivery (replacing my 1998 A4 2.8Q), and the recent press release on the new A4, I called AOA and sat on hold for quite a while before speaking to a Customer Care person.

Here's the scoop as they relayed it. Yes, the A4 production will end early to make room for the new A4. However, like BMW did with the M3 when the new 3 Series debuted, they are going to carry over the 2001 S4 as is, with the current body style for 2002. She said this is a definite, and I was quite clear with my skepticism on this. They don't know whether the S4 will continue into 2003, and my personal opinion (this is only my opinion) is no. There would most likely be a one year haitus, but then we would probably see them again in 2004.

Call me selfish, but I wish they would stop in 2001, makes them a little bit more rare.

Too rare could be bad for parts supply.

Default AoA also says there is no DV problem on TTs nor turbo problem on the S4...

So take that for what it's worth...

Default OK confirmed for me too... AofA says no S4 in new body for at least 2 yrs

Back in July when I ordered mine. I have Nov delivery and was a little worried with the new body comming to USA in June(but don't really care for the styling...yet). Like to have the gadgets though.
