Default Good timing this weekend for swapping out summer wheels. Front wheels were close to poop...

These are shots of the passenger side front tire. Both front wheels were noticeably worn on the inside edge. Passenger side was the worse, however.

My suspension height is aprox 25.5" on all four corners, in case anyone was wondering. I was running Yoko AVS-ES 100s (225/40/18); I've put about 13,000 miles on these tires which is pretty average, correct? Anyway, thought I'd share some news since I haven't posted in awhile.

Check it out:

Default Holy crap, close is an understatement. Thought of flipping the tires?

as in... the outsides become inside and vice versa

Default Yes, I was really fortunate to not cause serious issues. It was difficult to see...

the degraded slit when the tire was in contact with the pavement. I didn't expect such a big gash and wouldn't have known unless I had the car up on all a lift to inspect. Lesson learned...next time I'll be more cautious.

Default I've only swapped wheels from front to back each season, but have not fully rotated or flip them...

Again, lesson learned for the next go-round (no pun intended).

between 25k~30k miles out of a set of tires

Default Howdy Josh...yes, you are correct, I haven't been on this board in awhile. Thanks for noticing...

I need to get back up to speed on what's been going on around here. Was sad to learn about OWK. Good to see you are still around...lots of new faces on this board for sure.
