I was driving along, empty highway (2 lanes each way) at 7:30 sunday morning. I hadn't had any sleep since friday night, so i didn't see the cop coming the other way till he turned on his radar and made my detector go off. He got me doing 97, got a ticket for 80 in a 55, although im sure i saw a speed limit sign showing 70 a mile back.

Anyway, its my first ticket and I really don't want the points. Any advice on what I can do?

BTW, this was in Michigan (around Ithica, wherever that is).

I can't remember which one runs north from Lansing, but that's the only highway I can think of in Ithaca.

BTW, Ithaca is in Gratiot County. Ithaca is about 25 miles SW of Midland and 35 mile north of Lansing.
