The thing is gonna kill with a chip. Anyways happened to meet some friends near a ricer meeting. Kid in a black SRT wanted too race for fun so we did some runs on a secluded backroad. I wanted to see how fast these things really were so I gave him as much advatage as possible. 1st run was a 30mph roll in 3rd... SRT in 2nd took him by half a car to 120.. very impressive. 2nd run.. 20mph roll in 2nd.. SRT in 1st. I took him by a car to 100. 3rd run 20mph roll in 1st for both. I missed 2nd and he took me by 2-3 cars till I shut down at 100. I missed it bad and I thought I could reel him in but that thing is so fast. He was bone stock.. me Xdoritos, Borla, OZ SL's and no spare on 93oct.Much respect to Dodge for a nice machine... :-)

not sure if they will gain as much as the Audis with a chip or boost controller. He had an advantage from a rool being FWD...Magazines are posting 1/4 miles around 14 flat and close to 100 mph. Not bad at all.

I really don't think the kids that buy these cars will invest in turbo timers, allow the cars to warm up, or perform proper maitence. Alot will struggle to afford the car alone let alone the minimum up keep. I would assume alot of them will think of them to be as durable and reliable as a Honda, and are in for a cruel suprise.

This is obviously not true for all the individuals that are investing in them, but definitley the market they are targetting.
