Had the strangest sound effect in my S4 this morning due to the cold...
Last night in Jersey it snowed just a little while I was parked outside. When I drove home and parked it in the garage the car was fairly wet I guess. Overnight the temperature outside dropped a but it must have stayed warmer in the garage. When I pulled the car out this morning and began driving to work, I started hearing this crackling sound from the top and rear of the car. I heard this even over the radio (even though it was just a morning talk show, but still it was fairly loud). For a moment or two I couldn't figure out what was going on, but then I figured it must be all that moisture freezing on the roof, trunk, etc. It lasted only a short time and then after that would only make a "crack" sound when I hit a decent bump in the road. And sure enough when I got to work there was ice all over my car. Probably not too unusual, but I think this weather is about as cold as I've driven the S4 around in thus far so it was defnitely surprising. I don't recall this kind of sound effect on other cars I've driven in winter. Maybe it was just that the circumstances were exactly right for it to occur. Anyway, thought I'd share the story. Party on...
