Looks interesting specially since you can find it for under $400! Solves the problem of metalic tint windows! the only thing is, where would you mount the antenna?<ul><li><a href="http://www.ammtech.net/bel_915-r_remote_radar_detector.htm">Bel 975-R</a></li></ul>

I've spent allot of time researching and feel it just edges out the V1 on sensitivity (the only thing it doesn't do, that the V1 does, is tell you where the signal is coming from (front or rear). The size of the remote unit is tiny and easy to mount and I am having installed after x-mas because the place doing the install is all booked up). They are going to insert the remote unit in the wood trim (slice out a small section of wood trim above stereo assembly). I'll post pictures when done.

do you know where they are going to mount the external antenna?

Not exactly, they told me they were going to put the radar unit behind the grill and place one laser sensor in the car in front of rear view mirror and the other next to the rear brakelight inside the car. I was gonna hammer out those details when I brought it in. They are a very good install shop (not cheap) but they do fantastic work so I'm not worried and they make it look as if it were installed by the factory. I've had work done by them before. They even offered to place visual box in instrument cluster but I didn't want to mess with voiding warranty.
